Hilton London Metropole on Edgware Road has announced a multi-million-pound refurbishment of its West Wing, which will have 363 redesigned bedrooms planned around families. The hotel, which it describes as the largest Hilton outside the United States, expects the work to be completed in November 2026.

The main room type in the West Wing will be the Four Queen Bed Family Connecting Room. It joins two adjoining dual-queen rooms into one suite that sleeps up to eight guests. There will be five of these suites, and the hotel says this will be one of the largest family-room configurations among centrally located London hotels.

The rest of the West Wing will have dual-queen rooms that sleep up to four guests, family rooms with sofa beds for up to five guests, and accessible rooms. The hotel says the rooms are decorated in a contemporary style and are among the most spacious bedrooms in the building.

The hotel's food is led by chef Paul Bates, who has more than 40 years of hospitality experience. According to the hotel, 90% of its ingredients come from within 100 miles, and it has donated more than 73,000 meals through a partnership with The Felix Project since 2020.

General manager Kelly Shrives-Wrist spent almost a decade as the hotel's commercial director and helped shape the plans for the West Wing. She then left to be the opening general manager at Hilton Woking, and returned to Hilton London Metropole in November 2025 to lead the project.
