How we use AI

We use AI tools to help find news and write stories. An AI tool drafts each new story from its source, and a second check compares every fact in the draft with that source. A story that fails the check is not published.

Human oversight

Not every story is read by a person before it is published. Our editor sets what we cover and the sources we use, reviews published stories regularly for quality and accuracy, and corrects or removes any story that falls short. Our editorial standards and this policy are set and kept up to date by people, not software.
