The Valentine, a student building in Gants Hill with 333 beds, has been renamed ARK Valentine. ARK Student said the block is owned by Crosstree Real Estate Partners and run by ARK Living.

Residents can pick from 11 room types. These range from self-contained studios to ensuite rooms where residents share a kitchen.

Shared facilities include a gym, co-working and study areas, a communal lounge, TV rooms and bike storage. There is also an outdoor terrace with a table tennis table.

The building is a two-minute walk from Gants Hill Underground station, which is on the Central line. Valentines Park is next door.

Rents are all-inclusive, covering utility bills and Wi-Fi, with on-site support available 24 hours a day. Ensuite rooms start at £199 a week and studios at £292 a week.

ARK Living said the building will hold regular community events and that residents will have access to the wider ARK community network and events programme. It said graduates staying in London can move to one of ARK's three co-living locations.

Robert Alam, Managing Director at ARK Living, said the company wants to help create "a place where students feel comfortable getting to know each other".
