Gemma Abraham and Hayley Harrison, two Surrey mums aged 42, have taken the home organisation world by storm with their business, Organise-d, which they launched in 2020 after being inspired by the Netflix show “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.”

The Guildford-based friends have quickly gained a reputation for their exceptional work, attracting a star-studded clientele that includes Tamara Ecclestone, John Terry, Kimberly Wyatt, and Billie Shepherd.

The duo’s success lies in their ability to advise clients on how to make the most of their living spaces, regardless of size. “On a weekly basis, we are wowed by where our clients live,” Gemma said. “John and Toni Terry’s house is incredible, and they were delightful to work with. John ended up having more in his wardrobe than Toni!”

Organise-d charges a daily base rate of £925 to organise a single space, which covers eight hours of work. With their combined experience in retail and marketing, Gemma and Hayley have leveraged their skills to grow their business, particularly through social media. Their @organise_d Instagram page boasts an impressive 22.1k followers, and a video of Tamara Ecclestone’s organised snack drawer garnered 85,000 views on TikTok.

Despite their high-profile clients, Gemma and Hayley also take pride in tackling smaller spaces where hoarding may be an issue. “We feel a greater sense of achievement in these spaces where we have to work harder,” Gemma explained.

The pair’s personal lives have also played a significant role in shaping their organisational talents. As mothers of young children, with Hayley’s son having ADHD, organisation has become a crucial aspect of their home lives.

Gemma believes that the UK is still warming up to the idea of professional organisers. “In the UK, people are ashamed to admit they have a gardener or cleaner. Even now, if we say we are home organisers, people don’t understand what that is,” she said.

The duo works closely with their clients, taking into account the emotional attachment people may have to their possessions. “There’s an element of psychology behind a lot of what makes every item precious to a person. We are strict but gentle with it, especially with women’s clothing,” Gemma explained.

As Organise-d continues to grow, Gemma and Hayley remain committed to helping their clients create functional and organised living spaces, one drawer at a time.
